fruity goodness

i've been enjoying a lot of fresh juice this month!
nothing beats apple, orange and berry juice to start the day right...

some of you know that i did a cleansing fast at the beginning of the month.
though it wasn't easy (surrounded by halloween treats),
i'm so happy that i did it.
the fast included fresh juices,
which have now become a regular treat for me.

carrot, apple and ginger is a great mix as well!

i hope you have a happy, healthy december
as you prepare for the christmas season!

(catherine - let me know when you want your juicer back,
thanks for letting me use it!)

christmas giving

big thanks to all those who have participated in my design project.
i have done more than 6 designs now and was able to go ahead and order
two rabbits and a goat from the mcc giving campaign!
(happy dance...)

i love doing these designs, each one unique to the family or individual.

you can see some of my other designs
for this christmas here, here, here here!

i've gotten started on our own christmas card now
(you'll have to wait to see that one!)
and was working on a new one today from this photoshoot.

christmas design

i've had so much fun doing designs the past couple weeks.
i was excited to receive photos from my giveaway winner this week to play with!

meet indigo, jack & ava.
i met this family during ballet (when our girls were 2)
at the community centre,
then emery went to preschool with ava
and now our kids attend the same public school.
this family is full of love, life, and creativity.
it's my guess that sarah (mom) knit all three sweaters in these photos
and she captured these images!
amazing.

congrats on winning the giveaway sarah!
(i'm that one day sarah will do a giveaway
on her blog for one of her knitting creations...)

more designs to share soon!
i hope they're giving you something to smile about.
~
what do you most look forward to during the christmas season?

christmas in the village

jude and i were helping good friends move today,
so nan (jude's mom) came to spend the day with the girls.
i was excited when i realized that today was the day
for 'christmas in the village' near our home.
perfect thing for nan to take the girls to.
this is an event that we've attended for the past few years.
there is a horse drawn carriage ride (free!) and
the highlight for the girls
is a visit with santa.
i love the photos that they brought home today
and that they're with the same santa as previous years!
so thoughtful of nan to buy two photos, so we could each have one.

nan also got the girls their cute hats,
selah has had her dinosaur hat on all day!

christmas in the village - on belmont.
great little event to get into the christmas spirit...
and fun memories for my girls!
sad i missed it, but so happy to hear
about the amazing day the girls had with nan.

 two little men...
who always make me smile.

simply beautiful

what is giving me great joy right now is taking photos for friends & fam,
and using them to create christmas photo cards.

i hope to share more photos soon from my morning with these boys,
but for now you can see the custom design i created with some favs:

christmas smiles

i'm so happy that a few people have decided to participate in
my design project for christmas...
i am ready to buy a goat and hoping to get the rabbits too
(still have a couple more spots if you're interested in a custom design).

this is the smiley family christmas card from last year:
on the weekend i had a mini-shoot with aubree at the park.

here is the christmas card i designed for this year:

nachos and schooners

tonight, as i was scanning through photos, i found this one.
this was taken by jude on the beach in southampton on thanksgiving weekend.
we had a date night.
it was so fun to watch the sunset together,
take some photos,
play with a stray cat on the beach,
and then head to crabby joe's for some nachos!
jude watched hockey and i won a schooner.
it's a big one.

good times.
~
i just got jude his own camera today!
he's heading to british columbia next week...
i'm not really willing to part with mine
(especially as i finish up my course),
and i don't think he really wanted to lug mine around...

so jude now has this one:
this camera comes in a rainbow of colours.
of course i got black for jude.
i can't wait to see the photos he captures.

feeling thankful tonight for judah...
this past week or so, i haven't been feeling 100%
and he has been very caring and helpful...
~
and on another note:
i'm still hoping to design your christmas card for you!
i need three more orders to get some rabbits and a goat for someone who needs them!

(click on the green words if you have no idea what i'm talking about)

queen of the peacocks

emery was a peacock for halloween!
i love how the costume came together...

selah was a 'purple t-rex'.
this is a costume that auntie beth found for her.
selah loves this costume, but apparently wasn't in the mood for photos...

heading out to trick or treat with their best friends and the daddies.
judah even dressed up this year for work,
with a little encouragement from his colleagues
and inspiration from his brother...
and this is the cute ladybug i found in the garden yesterday:
emery was allowed to dress up at school this year.
she was worried about her peacock costume getting dirty,
so she was a ladybug for the class party.

what was your most memorable halloween costume?

this is me when i was emery's age.
not my most memorable costume - but still cute, right?
(and the only halloween photo i could find!)
