yesterday selah's class went on a trip to the local pumpkin farm.

it's was damp and chilly - but everyone still had a great time!

 selah loved the wagon ride, and seeing the animals.

and these are my boots after a great time on the farm 

(glad i wore them)...

huron natural area - class trip

emery's class went on a field trip yesterday. 

it was fun, really well run and a tad chilly!

this is the part of the hike when emery noticed the canopy of trees

and declared it the perfect spot for a photo.

i told her she didn't need to pose so much,

she said she wanted to!

emery is seven

it's hard to believe that i became a momma seven years ago...

emery is a sweet, caring, sensitive girl who is very creative, artistic and dramatic!

my little pumpkin is growing up...

1914 fall fair

last weekend the girls and i went back in time to 1914...

the local museum and heritage park was hosting a fall fair, 

complete with carnival games, animal shows and wagon rides...

well, the horse guy didn't show up, and we missed the animal show, 

but we got to play 2 rounds of the carnival games

and saw a little more of the village than we had seen before, 

including a pig trying to make it's escape!

 it was a fun afternoon, just me and the girls.

we just recently became members at this museum. 

the passes can also be used at the bruce county museum in southampton

(where my parents live).

how perfect is that?!
