mother of two

my girls.
 full of life.
 full of love.
full of personality...

i'm lucky to be their mommy.

i have a feeling that breakfast in bed is in my future...
does your family have any mother's day traditions?

happy day to all the mom's who are checking in.
i hope your day is lovely.

mini photographer

this is ryan.
he is a little friend who came to visit us last fall
he loved to 'take photos' with his daddy's camera,
and fortunately he didn't mind having a few taken of him!
he didn't put that camera down the whole time we were at the park.
i hope he comes with his family to visit us again this year!

18.10.11

family of three

i spent a morning at waterloo park
with such a lovely family:
tasha, mark and logan.

tasha and mark are calm and kind,
and they love their little boy like crazy.
(it's so clear in these photos)

logan is a shy little guy who stole my heart!
i almost fell over laughing when i heard his
surprisingly loud choo-choo sounds!
and he even blew me a kiss when we were saying goodbye.

though the weather was a little cold and dreary,
it was a bright and cheerful morning for me because i got to
spend it with such a beautiful family...

simple things

like love the idea of reflecting each week and
remembering the simple things that made me smile.
looking through photos from the week is a great way
for me to relive some of those moments,
and smile once more!

this past week was warm and sunny.
we had a picnic with friends earlier this week at waterloo park.
such a lovely place!

after seeing all of the other animals
(the turkeys and sheep were quite chatty that day),
we decided to stop and visit the swans and ducks.
it was right around lunch time and
they were quite happy to see us!
very friendly indeed...
the photo of the peacock above was also taken that day...
what a stunning bird!

for more favourite moments/shots from the week - check out favourite shot friday.

what made you smile this week?

two views

captured by jude

always fun to take pics of the birch family.  they make it easy!
unknown to me at the time, this was my first shoot with jude.
he was clicking away, love that!
fun to be able to share two points of view.
i think we make a good team!

rainbow eggs in jersey

it's hard not to love the easter egg hunt.
christine and i, we have fun making them happen...
this year's took place in new jersey.
it is beautiful there this time of year, everything is blooming!
we had planned to do the hunt on saturday.
the cousins were anxious for the fun and treats, but it was a rainy day.
we obliged and set up the hunt inside
(but we kept more eggs aside with hopes of a nicer day on sunday).

as you can see, we got our wish.
it was a beautiful day and perfect location!

i'm hoping we'll be able to do easter every year with the cousins in jersey.

back to the ice

on christmas eve, we ventured back to the ice for the first time this season.
this year both girls are on single blades!

first day back was a little shaky, and the ice was pretty bumpy...
but after a few more skates, emery can make her way around the rink without a fall or hand!
selah... she loves to watch!
